The AFSCM (Association for Mobile Contactless in France) is a non-profit association established in April 2008 by three MNOs: Bouygues Telecom, Orange France, and SFR. AFSCM mission is to facilitate the technical development of mobile NFC applications and to promote their benefits for end users and service providers. AFSCM members comprise MNOs, service providers and technology vendors. The AFSCM has published a complete set of specifications, labeled Cityzi specifications, to facilitate the quick launch of mobile contactless services and to enable the development of interoperable mobile contactless products and services. To define a mutually beneficial mobile contactless ecosystem, AFSCM proposes a comprehensive marketing toolset comprised of a shared brand and logo, a target mark and a menu icon. The Cityzi marketing toolset will enable Cityzi mobile users to recognize immediately any location, equipment or NFC tag that belong to the Cityzi ecosystem and that are compatible with their Cityzi handsets.
